I bought this a month ago after viewing scores of deck boxes. I initially bought another brand and had to return it because several pieces were chipped and split during transport. Whether this is a sturdier product, packaged better, or was handled better by the carriers, all the parts of this one came intact. I'm not mechanically inclined, so I had my sons assemble it for me. It took two of them approximately 20 or 30 minutes, each of them using a handheld battery operated screwdriver, and they weren't cursing or complaining at any point, so I think it's relatively easy to assemble.I bought this to hold furniture covers during the summer. It holds 2 love seat covers, 2 chair covers, and the cover of a rectangular fire table with room to spare. I just tested for size and the box holds the bottom of both loveseats, but only 3 back cushions. Two of us sat on the deck box and it is sturdy enough to hold 2 average-sized adults, as promised.I love the two-tone color. The lighter brown almost exactly matches the deck (stained Behr Chocolate). The hinged top resists slamming shut, but once shut, the lid is a tight fit and it can accommodate a lock. Even after some heavy rains, the inside of the box has stayed dry. I live in Pennsylvania, so I hope it winters well.Update: The storage box wintered well. It stores furniture cushions over the winter and last Spring, they were dry, without any must smells, so no moisture entered. This year, I notice water collects on the top of the lid after a rain, indicating it's sagging a bit. Nobody has ever sat on the lid, so it's from aging, not from having extra weight on the lid. The container has resisted fading and still looks new. I would recommend this to a friend.
